Who we are
BKube LLC is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States, with a registered office at 33 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
Because the practice is operated from the United Kingdom and we work with clients there, we handle personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and with the EU GDPR where it applies.
For any question about this policy or about your personal data, contact hello@bkubesolutions.com.
What we collect
This website collects very little, and it collects nothing passively for marketing.
- Enquiries. When you submit the contact form we receive the name, company name, email address, country, enquiry type and message you provide.
- Anti-abuse record. When the contact form is submitted we store a one-way hash of your IP address together with the time of submission, so that we can limit repeat submissions and prevent abuse.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server logs, including IP address, browser user agent, the pages requested and the time of the request. These are generated automatically and are used for security and for keeping the site running.
- Email correspondence. If you email us, we hold that correspondence in our mailbox in the ordinary way.
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or third-party tracking of any kind on this website, and we do not buy or receive personal data about you from anyone else.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss possible work. The lawful basis is that processing is necessary in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us.
- To keep the website secure and available. The lawful basis is our legitimate interests in protecting the site from abuse, including operating the rate limit on the contact form described above, and diagnosing faults.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations where an enquiry becomes a client engagement. The lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
We do not send marketing emails on the basis of a website enquiry. If we ever introduce a mailing list, it will be opt-in and separately consented to.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a client engagement, records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for the period afterwards required by our legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on their standard schedule, which is a matter of weeks. The anti-abuse record described above is kept for one hour from the time of submission and is then discarded.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Personal data is handled by a small number of service providers acting on our instructions:
- Our hosting provider, who hosts this website on servers located in the United States.
- Our email provider, through which enquiry notifications and our correspondence with you are delivered.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountants, where a client engagement requires it.
We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by law.
International transfer
BKube LLC is registered in the United States, and the website and the personal data submitted through it are hosted in the United States. The practice itself is operated from the United Kingdom. Personal data submitted by visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area is therefore transferred to the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or the EEA, we rely on the safeguards provided for in our hosting provider's data processing terms, including the standard contractual clauses those terms incorporate.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right of access to your personal data, and the rights to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email hello@bkubesolutions.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data you can complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk. We would ask you to raise it with us first so we have the chance to put it right.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use personal data we already hold will be notified directly to those affected.
